Clackamas County, Happy Valley invite comments on proposals to adjust transportation fees charged to developers

Clackamas County and the city of Happy Valley are sponsoring online open houses and surveys to give the public, developers and other interested parties the opportunities to learn about and comment on potential changes to Transportation System Development Charges (TSDCs) in both jurisdictions.

TSDCs are one-time fees paid by developers when they build a new or expanded residential or commercial development. The fee is used to help pay for the construction of additional roads and sidewalks needed so people can go to and from the new development.

Visit the Clackamas County open house/survey. Visit the Happy Valley open house/survey. Both surveys, open through May 19, are also available through the county’s SDC webpage

County and city staff have worked with representatives from the commercial and residential development community, home builders and engineering firms to help develop recommendations related to the future of TSDCs in Clackamas County and Happy Valley. Final decisions will be made by the Board of County Commissioners and the Happy Valley City Council by the end of 2017.
