Policy Session on ICE in county slated for Tuesday

An informational policy session of the Board of County Commissioners slated for next Tuesday, May 2, will look at the state of immigration and customs enforcement in the county.

As with all policy sessions, the discussion is open to the public, but no comment from members of the public is allowed.

This policy session is designed to give commissioners the opportunity to learn what is happening with regard to immigration and customs enforcement in the county, as well as the impact it is having relative to the county’s commitment and ability to provide law enforcement and county services to undocumented immigrants.

The full policy session document can be read at http://www.clackamas.us/bcc/documents/presentation/20170502dpolicy.pdf.

The session will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Development Services Building, 150 Beavercreek Road in Oregon City.

For more information, members of the media and public may contact Public Affairs Manager Tim Heider at 971-219-7271.
