Free Summer Meal Program and Recmobile for Kids

North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) invites families to get outside this summer to play and learn with the RecMobile. The RecMobile program helps keep children active and engaged through collaborative games, and creative projects.

The traveling RecMobile visits parks throughout the District during the summertime. Kids ages 6 through 10 get to participate in a variety of fun activities, including games, sports, art and crafts. Each week has a different theme to inspire creativity and ignite imaginations.

NCPRD, in partnership with the North Clackamas School District, participates in the USDA Summer Meal Program for Children, providing free lunches to kids ages 1 through 18 as part of the RecMobile schedule. The Summer Food Service Program makes sure all children can eat healthy food during the summer months when they can’t eat at school. The meals, along with positive enrichment activities provided by the RecMobile, help ensure kids return to school healthy and ready to learn.

The RecMobile visits various parks Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. until Aug. 11. Meals will be provided at the following locations:

Scott Park
10660 S.E. 21st Ave., Milwaukie
Snack at 3 p.m. on Tuesdays

Oak Grove Elementary
2150 S.E. Torbank Rd., Milwaukie
Lunch at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Children under age 6 must have a parent or guardian present. This is a free drop-in program, and children may come and go as they please. To view the full RecMobile schedule, go online or call -503-794-8080.
