Healthy Communities

Public Health works to promote healthier choices in our community through a range of healthy communities initiatives.

A healthier Clackamas County begins with education and information.  Our Healthy Communities initiatives work to provide people with the information they need to make their own informed decisions about living a healthy life. In collaboration with community partners, we promote wellness and health through a range of educational programs, informational campaigns, small grants technical assistance, and policy development to promote healthy activities in our county.

Programs and services

Emergency Preparedness
The Emergency Preparedness program works closely with the county's Emergency Management department in responding to public health emergencies.

Dental Health Access
The Dental Health Access program works with community partners to improve the oral health of the population through Clackamas County.

Healthy Eating and Active Living
The Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) grant program supports community-based projects that increase access to healthy foods and physical activity.

Tobacco Prevention and Education
The Tobacco Prevention and Education Program (TPEP) works to reduce tobacco use and its impacts in Clackamas County.

School Based Health Centers
School Based Health Centers provide valuable education and prevention services for youth in our County.
