How to Identify and Report Hazardous Road Conditions to the Clackamas County Transportation Maintenance Division
Hazardous Road Conditions
To report a Hazardous Road Condition:
- Call Transportation Maintenance, 503-557-6391, Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (during normal business hours)
- Call Clackamas County Sheriff at 503-655-8911 outside of normal business hours, including holidays
Examples of Hazardous Conditions:
- Stop sign down or missing
- Malfunctioning traffic signal
- Tree on roadway obstructing traffic
- Debris or material on roadway obstructing traffic flow
- Standing water obstructing traffic flow
- Dead deer or elk obstructing traffic flow
- Pothole or sink hole imposing significant traffic hazard
Non-hazardous Conditions
To report a Non-hazardous Road Condition:
- Call the Clackamas County Pothole Hotline, 503-650-3262
Each request should include the following:
- Your name
- Your address, including city, state and zip code
- Telephone number where you can be contacted (it is important that you include a contact number in the event more information is needed)
- A detailed description of the condition, including road name, nearest cross street and/or address
Examples of non-hazardous conditions are:
- Small potholes in road
- Road signs down or missing (STOP signs should be reported as a hazardous condition, see reporting Hazardous Road Conditions)
- Minor shoulder erosion
- Vegetation issues
