Stafford Road Bridge over the Tualatin River - COMPLETED

Funding: 2003 Oregon Transportation Investment Act (OTIA III) and Clackamas County System Development Charges (SDC’s)
Cost: $9.9 million (for construction, right-of-way, design and engineering)
Scope: Replaced structurally and functionally deficient bridge with a new bridge slightly to the west to improve the alignment and prepare for the planned future widening of Stafford Road.
New bridge: 445 feet long, 54 feet wide, with two lanes for vehicles, and bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides. Three-span multi-girder bridge composed of pre-stressed Bulb-T girders. 165-foot center span on 6-foot diameter 100 -110-foot drilled shafts.
Stafford Road: Six-foot wide bike lanes, one 12-foot wide traffic lane in each direction and a 7-foot wide sidewalk on each side from Mossy Brae Road to Shadow wood Drive.
