Applying online for your CHL needs is highly recommended as it will speed up the issuance of your CHL by up to several weeks. However, if you choose not to apply online you may call 503-794-8059 to schedule an appointment.

  • New applicants and Transfers: You may apply online for your CHL and schedule an appointment without paying the fee online. If you choose to pay online you will be charged a $4 convenience fee by US Bank, our online payment service provider. If you choose to apply online, but not pay online, you may pay at the time of your appointment. Fees are non-refundable. Only checks, money orders, and Visa/MasterCard are accepted.
  • All other Concealed Handgun License transactions: You may apply online for you CHL. If you choose to not pay online, you must call 503-794-8059 to schedule an appointment. If you choose to apply online and pay online, you will be charged a $4 convenience fee by US Bank, our online payment service provider, there is no appointment necessary, and your new license will be mailed to you.
