10/5: Sheriff's Office arrests knife-wielding carjacking suspect

At about 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, a motorist driving west on Sunnyside Road, just west of Highway 212, came upon a male standing partially in the road. The driver slowed down to go around the man -- and as the driver went around, the male -- later identified as Ramon Manuel Gonzalez, aged 33, of Gresham -- leaped into the back seat of the car. 9/26: Traffic stop leads to 21-pound, $550,000 meth bust

At approximately 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, an Oregon State Police trooper assigned to the Clackamas County Inter-agency Task Force (CCITF) stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction just off Interstate 5. This led to an arrest and the seizure of 21 pounds of methamphetamine. READ MORE

9/16: Citizens chase down suspect who allegedly stole cash register from Hales Restaurant in Milwaukie

Just before 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, a suspect entered Hales Restaurant, grabbed the cash register, tore it from the counter and fled the restaurant. Patrons dining at Hales chased the suspect to the parking lot and restrained him until police arrived. READ MORE

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a suspect who assaulted a 79-year-old man at his Woodburn home and stole the victim's wallet and truck -- a truck that was carrying the victim's motorized wheelchair. 9/6: Armed robbery at La Quinta Inn; two employees tied up, suspect eludes capture; tips sought

At 4:15 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013, a man walked into the La Quinta Inn located at 8815 SW Sun Place in Wilsonville. Two female employees were setting up for breakfast. The man pointed a gun at the employees and then tied them up. He subsequently released one briefly and had her empty the cash drawer for him. At 10:20 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to the Bank of America at 9171 SE. 82nd Ave after a 50-year-old male -- later identified as Mr. Tim Alsip -- allegedly gave a bank teller a note stating: "This is a hold up. Give me a dollar." Mr. Alsip reportedly received a single dollar from the teller, and then went and had a seat in the lobby. READ MORE

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Deputies heard a crash this morning (Sunday, Aug. 4) at 9:39 a.m. while writing reports at one of our substations. Deputies responded -- and found a green Ford Thunderbird at the intersection of SE Fuller Rd and SE Causey Rd. The Thunderbird had heavy front-end damage, and there was a black Ducati motorcycle under the front end of the car. The motorcycle operator was thrown about 20 feet from the crash scene. READ MORE

7/5: Water Consortium conducts search/recovery operation after woman goes missing on Clackamas River near Carver Park

At about 4 p.m. on Friday July 5, 2013, witnesses called 911 to report a missing adult female in the water upstream from the Carver Bridge. While rafting on the Clackamas River, Meagan O'Meara-Clark, 26, of Canby, had jumped out of the raft just upstream from Carver Park to take a swim. A short time later, she was seen going underwater. A male adult made it to the shore and called for help. Meagan O'Meara-Clark was unaccounted for, and the Clackamas County's Water Rescue Consortium went into active search mode. READ MORE

On Friday, June 14, 2013, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office arrested Duane Shottenkirk, age 61, and his son Earnest Shottenkirk, age 35, in Hubbard, OR. They were charged with several sex crimes involving a 6-year-old child. Authories are searching for possible additional victims. READ MORE

6/17: Sheriff's Office arrests knife-wielding coffee-stand robber outside Canby, thanks to observant passerby

At about 3:30 p.m. On Monday, June 17, 2013, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office -- with assistance from the Canby Police Department and Oregon City Police Department -- responded to an armed robbery at a drive-through coffee stand on S. Knights Bridge Rd. near S. Arndt Rd., a rural area outside of Canby, OR. The suspect -- who was armed with a knife -- stole an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in a vehicle. Thanks to a tip from an observant citizen, the suspect was located, apprehended and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail by responding deputies. READ MORE

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to the call of a swimmer gone under the water just below the High Rocks area on the Clackamas River. The swimmer was recovered and transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. READ MORE

6/17: Boy, 5, airlifted from traffic crash near Redland; man arrested on DUII charges

At about 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 16th, the Clackamas County Sheriff's office responded to the area of S. Fischers Mill Rd. -- near S. Princess Ct., near Redland, OR -- following reports of an injury traffic crash involving two vehicles. Four people have been transported to area hospitals after being extricated from the vehicles by Clackamas Fire District #1 personnel -- including a 5-year-old boy who was transported by Life Flight air ambulance. A suspect involved in the crash was arrested on multiple charges, including DUII. READ MORE

At about 2:18 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies assigned to the Happy Valley Police Department received a 911 call from the occupants at 11194 SE Lenore Street, Happy Valley. The caller reported that a possible armed robbery had occurred, and that two suspects had fled the scene in a vehicle. READ MORE

6/12: Local girls soccer coach arrested on charges of sexually abusing at least one of his players; additional potential victims sought

On Wenesday, June 12, 2013, detectives with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Child Abuse Team and the Oregon City Police Department arrested 43-year-old Joseph Christopher Leonetti of Oregon City at his residence and lodged him in the Clackamas County Jail on five counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree. At 2:41 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013, Clackmas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of SE Oetkin Road and SE Minerva Road in Milwaukie. 4/25: Deputies arrest suspect on Aggravated Animal Abuse, Theft charges after finding suffocated cat strapped to table

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a dead cat found in a Milwaukie residence. Deputies investigated and soon arrested Ashley Fawn Guldager, 21, on charges of first-degree Aggravated Animal Abuse and first-degree Theft of the animal. A necropsy determined that the cat died of asphyxiation. Guldager is suspected of killing the animal. READ MORE

At about 5 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013, the Wells Fargo Bank located at 12072 SE Sunnyside Road in Clackamas, Oregon was robbed. Deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to the bank and the surrounding area to look for the suspect and investigate. CCITF busts illegal marijuana operation, seizes stolen guns, arrests suspect wanted in Kansas

Yesterday afternoon (February 13, 2013), the Clackamas County Inter-agency Task Force (CCITF) executed a search warrant at a residence in Boring, Oregon, in rural Clackamas County. The search resulted in the seizure of 84 marijuana plants, drug proceeds, two stolen guns and the arrest of Kevin Tamar Davis, a suspect wanted in Kansas. Davis -- age 37, of Tennessee -- was on the run from Sedgwick County, Kansas, where he was wanted for Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child and listed as one of Sedgwick County's Most Wanted. 11/28-29: UPDATED: Rescue mission underway for stranded climber on Mt. Hood

UPDATE: Stranded climber Jeff Kish was located by members of the search team at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28. Mr. Kish was near a second set of coordinates deputies obtained from his phone. The search team that found him checked his condition and advised that paramedics were not needed. At this point, the search team is working to warm Jeff up, and will determine the best way to assist him down the mountain. Read more

11/19: Suspect robs U.S. Bank inside Wilsonville Fred Meyer; tips sought

On Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at about 3 p.m., the U.S. Bank located inside the Wilsonville Fred Meyer was robbed. Wilsonville Police were dispatched to the Fred Meyer, located at 30300 SW Boones Ferry Road. Tellers reported the suspect presented a note demanding money and no weapons were seen. Read more

11/9: Halloween hit-and-run suspect turns self in; Sheriff's Office thanks public

On Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, Jahi Rashiei McKinney Brown, age 22, of Portland, turned himself in to Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies at about 9:30 p.m. Mr. Brown provided a statement to the investigating deputy confessing to the hit-and-run incidents on Halloween in Clackamas. Read more

11/7: Sheriff's Office seeks public's help in locating hit-and-run suspect

At about 2 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2012, a gold 2001 Chevrolet Malibu bearing Oregon license plate 567ETJ crashed into the rear end of a car at the intersection of Hwy 224 and SE Johnson Road. The victim car was driven by Ciprian Gusetu, age 35, of Milwaukie,. The victim's wife, Corina Gusetu, age 27 -- who is 8 months pregnant -- was a passenger in the car. The driver of the suspect car has been identified as Jahi Rashid McKinney Brown, age 22 (pictured), with a last known address in SE Portland. He is 69" tall and weighs 150 pounds. Read more

10/18: Clackamas County Sheriff's Office launches 10th National Family Violence Apprehension Detail

On Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team (DVERT) worked with agencies throughout Oregon -- as well as agencies across the country -- to arrest persons with outstanding family-violence warrants. Locally, they conducted a total of 171 family violence arrest warrant service attempts. Read more

10/10: Victim slashes fleeing burglary suspects' tire with axe; deputies seek tips

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Wilsonville Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at about 1:12 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10 in Sherwood, near the 24000 block of Morgan Lane. The victim had reportedly pulled into his driveway and called 911 after seeing two males burglarizing his home. The victim confronted the males as they fled the scene, leaving behind the stolen property.  The victim, armed with a pickax, slashed the rear tire of the suspects' car -- a white 1990s sedan  -- as they fled. The males continued to flee the scene in the vehicle, which now had a flat tire. Read more

At approximately 4:17 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office received a report of a driver appearing to fall asleep at the wheel as he was driving on SE Sunnybrook Blvd in Clackamas. The vehicle, a 1999 Saab, then pulled into the parking lot of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office building at 9101 SE Sunnybrook Blvd. and crashed into the landscaping in the middle of the parking lot. 9/9: Suspicious male reported in Wilsonville; tips sought

At noon on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, a Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputy took a report of a suspicious person in the City of Wilsonville, near SE Willamette Way East and Wilsonville Road. The suspicious male reportedly offered candy and a ride in his Jeep to an 8-year-old girl. The girl was able to get a good description of the male -- and she may be able to meet with a forensic artist this week in an effort to obtain a picture of the suspicious male. Read more

On Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 at 12:54 a.m., an armed robbery was reported at the Days Inn (9717 SE Sunnyside Rd, Clackamas).
