Estacada High vandalized; tips sought
On March 14, 2012 at 12:10 a.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm at Estacada High School (355 NE 6th Avenue, Estacada). When they arrived, they found the high school had been vandalized.
Deputies searched the area, but did not find the suspects responsible. Deputies were at the high school for three hours, collecting evidence and investigating the scene. Sheriff's Office detectives returned to the high school this morning to continue the investigation.
The extent of the damage and mischief resulted in the high school closing for the day (Wednesday, March 14) for repairs and cleaning.
Investigating deputies reported what appeared to have started as a mischievous senior class prank evolved into serious vandalism. The school's main office was entered and suffered the majority of the vandalism.
The resulting crimes are Burglary II and Criminal Mischief I -- both felonies. Investigators are interested in tips and information related to this case.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is seeking tips and information regarding this crime.
