Wilsonville Denny's robbed at knifepoint; suspect flees on foot; tips sought

At about 5:29 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, Wilsonville Police responded to the Denny's restaurant located at 30175 SW Parkway Avenue, Wilsonville, after an armed robbery was reported to Clackamas 911.
Wilsonville Police were told by a Denny's employee that the suspect came to the register and asked for change for a dollar. When the employee opened the till, the suspect pulled out a large folding knife, opened it, and demanded the money in the till. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money in an unknown direction.
No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect was described as follows:
- White male adult
- Early thirties
- 5'10'' tall
- Thin build
- Brown hair
- Scruffy full beard
- Wearing a medium-blue hoodie sweatshirt with letters "NAU" on the front
- Wearing brown baggy pants with either patches or a lighter discoloration on the back of the legs
- Carrying blue, medium-sized nylon bag with black nylon handles
Investigators are planning on processing the available surveillance video for images of the suspect to share with the public.
