
UPDATE (Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, 2:58 p.m.): WELLS FARGO BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT IDENTIFIED AS MERLE HATCH

On Friday February 15, 2013, at about 5 pm, the Wells Fargo Bank located at 12072 SE Sunnyside Road in Clackamas, Oregon was robbed.
Surveillance photographs of the suspect were released to the public.
Detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, working in cooperation with the Portland Police Bureau, were able to positively identify the suspect in the robbery.
The suspect was positively identified as Merle Mikal Hatch, age 50, no known address. Detectives compared the surveillance videos from the Wells Fargo Bank robbery and Hatch's most recent photo from the Sheridan Federal Detention Facility.
Merle Hatch was released from the Sheridan Federal Detention Facility on February 12, 2013. Hatch was listed as a fugitive when he failed to report to his halfway house.
Merle Hatch is believed to be the sole suspect in the Friday, February 15th Wells Fargo Bank robbery in Clackamas.

At about 5 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013, the Wells Fargo Bank located at 12072 SE Sunnyside Road in Clackamas, Oregon was robbed.
Deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to the bank and the surrounding area to look for the suspect and investigate.
Tellers reported that the suspect presented a note and stated he had a gun.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 40-45 years old, thin build, with short brown hair. He was wearing a black shirt over a gray shirt. The suspect fled on foot from the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
