Milwaukie 7-Eleven robbed at gunpoint; tips sought

At 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, an armed robbery was reported at the 7-Eleven at 7800 SE Lake Rd. in Milwaukie.

This armed male suspect is reported to have fled the scene and no injuries were reported.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Patrol deputies converged swiftly on the scene in search of the suspect, who was reported by a witness to have fled on foot.

A Clackamas County Sheriff's Office K-9 team responded to the scene of this crime in an effort to track the fleeing suspect. Search efforts by responding deputies failed to locate the armed-robbery suspect. A handgun was recovered near the area, lying next to a building.

This robbery suspect is described as follows:

  • Hispanic male
  • 25-30 years of age
  • 5'9" tall
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a black hoody and a black facemask with black jeans.

The suspect demanded money from the victim employee while armed with a handgun. He pointed the gun at the clerk, but the clerk was not injured. The suspect did not get any money in this attempt. A purse was taken from a customer in the store but she was also not injured.

First-degree armed robbery is considered a Measure 11-type felony crime in the State of Oregon.

This armed robbery event will be forwarded to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Detectives Division for further investigation.
