Local girls soccer coach arrested on charges of sexually abusing at least one of his players; additional potential victims sought

On Wenesday, June 12, 2013, detectives with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Child Abuse Team and the Oregon City Police Department arrested 43-year-old Joseph Christopher Leonetti of Oregon City at his residence and lodged him in the Clackamas County Jail on five counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree. Bail is set at $1,250,000.
Leonetti is currently a local club soccer coach in the Oregon City, area and has a lengthy history of coaching girls soccer, including coaching the West Linn High School Girls' soccer team from 1997-2006.
The reported victim in this case was an 12-year-old player, unrelated to Leonetti, on a club team coached by the suspect.
The alleged crimes occurred as recently as fall/winter 2012.

Investigators are not ruling out the possibility of other non-related victims.
