Sheriff's Office investigates two-vehicle car crash with injuries

At approximately 8 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014, a two-vehicle crash occurred on the bridge over the Tualatin River, near the intersection of SW Stafford Road and SW Shadow Wood Drive in West Linn. Occupants from both vehicles were transported to local area hospitals.
Members of the Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Team (CRAFT) arrived at the crash scene to investigate.
The driver of one of the vehicles in the crash has been identified as Karri Thomas, age 31, of West Linn. Two children were also in Thomas' car at the time of the crash. Thomas was reportedly driving her black Volvo south bound on Stafford Road when she veered out of her lane of travel, into oncoming traffic, and collided with a northbound Ford Escape driven by Sarah Harwood, age 27, of Wilsonville.
• Thomas is currently in critical condition at OHSU.
• The two children were transported to Dornbecher Children's Hospital and are in good condition.
• Harwood was taken to Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
