Sheriff's Office seeks tips in string of cat burglaries in unincorporated Lake Oswego
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a string of residential burglaries in the Lake Forrest Neighborhood of unincorporated Lake Oswego (the area east of I-5 from Carmen Drive to Childs Road and bordered by Waluga Park).
The first reported burglary took place on or about March 13, 2014. The burglary activity in this neighborhood seemed to be isolated to March 13, 2014 until May 23 -- when several more burglaries then took place.
From March 13, 2014 through June 5, 2014, a total of 10 burglaries were reported in the Lake Forrest Neighborhood. All but one was reported during the period from May 24 through June 5.
The burglaries took place during the nighttime or early-morning hours.
In most all of the burglaries, the suspects entered through unlocked rear sliding doors.
Items of value taken include electronics, furniture and tools, as well as other items.
Residents should lock their doors and report suspicious vehicles and persons.
Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity -- such as vehicles or people not known to the area -- in the Lake Forrest Neighborhood of unincorporated Lake Oswego during the late evening hours or early morning hours from May 23 through June 5 is urged to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Non-Emergency Line at 503-655-8211.
The public can also contact the Sheriff's Office using the CCSO Tip Line -- by phone at 503-723-4949 or by using the new online email form.
