Deputies respond to Eagle Creek home-invasion robbery; tips sought
Please reference Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Case # 14-17302.
At about 2:07 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014, deputies with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a home-invasion robbery in the 22500 block of SE Van Curen Road in Eagle Creek.
Five masked and gloved suspects reportedly entered the home and used flexible ties to restrain the homeowner and his family while they stole a number of expensive items, including firearms and a significant amount of cash.
The suspects appeared to be Latino, with one speaking "broken English," according to the victim.
The victim reports that the suspects were in the house for a protracted period ransacking the home.
Investigators believe there could be some connection between the suspects and the victim, as they seemed aware that certain items would be in the home.
The suspects were seen driving away in a silver, four-door sedan.
The homeowner sustained minor injuries during the burglary and was cared for by medical responders.
