At approximately 12 noon on Monday, Dec. 29, deputies at the Clackamas County Jail responded to a report of a male inmate down in his cell.

Deputies found the male unconscious and not breathing. They attempted to resuscitate the male -- identified as Bradley David Alford, 35, of Fairview -- and called for additional medical personnel.

Additionally, Sheriff's Office detectives responded to the jail to investigate the death, and an autopsy was performed at the State Medical Examiner's Office.

The cause of death is still unknown at this time, as we await autopsy results.

Family notifications are complete.
