Sheriff's Office arrests suspect after alleged burglary
attempt ends in flight, gunfire; tips sought

At 8:18 a.m. today (Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015), deputies responded to a
911 call reporting that a male was running in front of the caller's
house while pursued by the caller's neighbor, who was discharging a
A follow-up 911 call revealed further information. The second 911 caller reported that a male had attempted to break into the second caller's house. The second caller also reported firing a handgun into the air to frighten away the suspect.
Deputies responded to the area of the call -- Mayberry Lane and Lusted in Boring, Oregon. The deputies stopped a person matching the description of the fleeing male and burglary suspect. This suspect is identified as Richardo Padron, 35, of Gervais.
Deputies placed Mr. Padron in custody and then contacted the homeowner who'd made the second 911 call; the homeowner positively identified Mr. Padron as the burglary suspect he'd chased from his home.
The suspect is believed to have dropped a bag or backpack while fleeing the area; K9 teams searched the neighborhood, but were unable to locate anything.
Richardo Padron was transported to Clackamas County Jail and lodged on a charge of Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. A booking photo is attached.
