Suspect photo: CCSO Case # 16-14224The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is seeking tips in a brazen after-hours armed robbery at a Fred Meyer self-serve checkout on SE McLoughlin. Surveillance photos are linked above.

At approximately 10:46 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, an unknown male suspect entered the Fred Meyer store at 14700 SE McLoughlin in unincorporated Clackamas County.

Surveillance video reveals the suspect walked around the Fred Meyer until it closed at 11 p.m. The male then approached the self-service check stands as they were being emptied -- and stole two baskets containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

Fred Meyer employees attempted to stop the male. The male pulled away, drew a handgun, and used it to shoot out the glass out of the locked exit door to make his escape.

The suspect reportedly left the business driving a gray 2013 Kia Sol with no license plates. Deputies recovered the vehicle a short distance away; investigators believe the getaway vehicle may have been stolen from a nearby car-dealership lot, but are still working to confirm this information.

Surveillance photos are attached to this release, and the Sheriff's Office is seeking tips to ID the robbery suspect.
