UPDATE: Search effort ended after missing man contacted
UPDATE -- SUBJECT LOCATED Friday, July 1, 2016, 5:36 p.m.
Search and Rescue resources including Mountain Wave Communications
and Northern Oregon Regional Search and Rescue are being released after
news stories and social media appear to have led to Mr. Mitchell
exchanging communication with a close friend.
Clackamas County Search and Rescue cannot accomplish their mission without the assistance of the numerous volunteer search organizations that that respond to conduct the search activities, frequently under trying conditions and without regard to the timing, such as this Independence Day weekend. Many of the searchers who responded this afternoon had participated in the 5 day SAR in the mountains above Estacada.

The Clackamas County
Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue unit is currently conducting a
search in an effort to locate Tyler Mitchell, age 26. Mr. Mitchell is a
white male, 5'10" and 220 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He was
last seen on foot on 30 June 2016 at 1130 in the morning wearing a grey
t-shirt, shorts and sandals. Mr. Mitchell lives in the Stafford/Norwood
area south of the city of Tualatin in unincorporated Clackamas County.
Mr. Mitchell has a medical condition that may make him confused and disoriented. He is not a danger to the public. If you see Mr. Mitchell or have information that could help us locate him please call 911.
