EARLIER: Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 12:42 PM -- VICTIM, SUSPECT IDENTIFIED

The victim in yesterday's homicide has been identified as Terry Richard McKee, 39, of Gresham. A photo of the victim is linked above.

The suspect, who is in custody, has been identified as Miguel Angel Avila Espinal, 17, of Milwaukie.

EARLIER (Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, 12:52 a.m.) -- SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

At this writing (Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, 12:40 p.m.), detectives have identified a suspect in the shooting. He is currently in custody and being interviewed by detectives.

At this writing, there is no concern for public safety due to this incident.

No further details will be released at this time, as this is still an active investigation. We expect the names of both the suspect and victim will be available for release tomorrow afternoon.

EARLIER (Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, 9:49 p.m.) -- OAK GROVE SHOOTING LEAVES ONE DEAD; INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY; TIPS SOUGHT

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit (HVCU) and the Clackamas County Major Crimes Team are investigating a homicide that occurred in Oak Grove.

At 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance on McLoughlin Blvd. near SE Concord Rd. in Oak Grove. Dispatch advised there were additional calls that reported the disturbance had escalated to a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they found a male deceased on the ground near that location, and the suspect had fled the scene. There were several witnesses to the incident.

Due to this incident and the ongoing criminal investigation, McLoughlin Blvd. in both directions will be closed at SE Concord Rd. Southbound traffic is closed at SE Risley Ave. Hwy 99E is expected to be closed for several hours.

Media staging area is at the Walmart located at 15600 SE McLoughlin Blvd.

Along with deputies, officers from the Portland Police Bureau, Gladstone Police, and Oregon City Police also responded to the scene.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives were called to the scene along with the Clackamas County Major Crimes Team, the Clackamas County Medical Examiner and Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigators.

Investigators are processing the crime scene and detectives are currently interviewing several witnesses.

The victim's name will not be released at this time pending family notification.
