Over the weekend of Nov. 17-19, the Inter-agency Child Exploitation Prevention Team (INCERCEPT) worked with several other agencies on "Operation Kidsafe," arresting nine suspects who showed up at a house looking for sex with children -- "children" who were actually law-enforcement professionals posing as minors, working undercover online to set up the meetings.

Booking and behind-the-scenes photos are linked above.

"Operation Kidsafe" was a joint operation involving several local and federal partners, including:

"For an operation like this to be successful -- and this one was very successful -- it requires time, resources and money from a number of partner agencies," said Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts. "Front-line troops and leaders from local, regional and federal agencies really came together for this one. Preventing child exploitation is a huge priority for the Sheriff's Office and the cornerstone of INTERCEPT's mission. We couldn't be prouder."

The sting involved setting up a "meeting place" in Clackamas County. The suspects had been previously interacting with online "chatters" certified by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program (ICAC) to pose as minors.

As the suspects were arriving for meetings they believed would involve sexual liaisons with children ages 14 and younger, they were instead greeted by law-enforcement professionals and arrested.

Behind-the-scenes photos from the operation are attached. Forty-four professionals were involved in the sting -- with expertise ranging from IT to surveillance to arrest to investigation to prosecution.

The Sheriff's Office arrested nine suspects and transported them to the Clackamas County Jail. Suspect photos are attached.
