Records Unit
Our Records Unit is a 24/7 operation.
The unit processes and maintains crime/incident reports generated by the Detective and Patrol divisions. The Records Unit also processes and maintains alarm permits, warrants, traffic and criminal citations -- and does tape transcription for the Detective and Patrol units.
The unit processes an average of 62,000 reports a year -- about 170 reports per day. The unit also processes 80-100 requests daily from law-enforcement agencies and the public for record checks, copies of reports, and other information.
Q. How do I check to see if there is a warrant for my arrest?

Q. How do I request record checks or copies of incident reports?
A. Please submit your request in writing to the following address:

Requests can also be faxed to 503-785-5190. For more information you can also call the Records Unit voice line at 503-785-5200.
Be sure to include as much information as possible -- including the full names of the persons involved; incident date and location; and Sheriff's Office case number.
The Sheriff's Office charges the following fees:

If you're a victim, a victim's family member or were directly involved in the incident, there's no charge for your copies.
