Fair Housing
Division staff work cooperatively with staff from the county's Community Development Department, the Housing Authority of Clackamas County and state agencies to develop housing for persons with special needs. Plans are underway to develop an AIDS adult foster home and a transitional housing facility for single individuals and childless couples, including seniors and disabled adults.
FAIR HOUSING INFORMATION
Housing Discrimination Assistance: Provides information on housing discrimination law and training on housing discrimination issues.
Staff members assist clients with filing housing discrimination complaints with HUD.
Landlord/Tenant Assistance: Provides information on the Landlord/Tenant Law, including explanations for the eviction process. The program serves the general public, landlords, and tenants. Complex questions are referred for legal advice.
