Program/Service Notes:
Free information and referral program for people with diabetes, their families, medical professionals, and the general public. Diabetes EXPO held annually in February offering speakers, screenings and vendors and free to public. Advocacy efforts include Safe at School Program, offering nurses available for Diabetes 101 training for school personnel at no charge. Family Link Program connects families that are experienced in living with diabetes with parents of newly diagnosed children or children who are experiencing problems. Network of lawyers who handle diabetes discrimination cases.
