Senior Centers
The Social Services Division has designated ten senior centers throughout the county as focal points for comprehensive service delivery. These senior centers operate five days a week (a minimum of 32 hours per week), and are required to adhere to the Clackamas County Policy on Aging.
The typical senior center offers meals three to five times a week, information and referral, outreach/assessment, transportation, social services, legal counseling, health promotion activities, recreation, and social programs. Some centers also offer support groups and day respite programs for persons with Alzheimer's disease. Most senior centers are funded primarily by the cities or park district in which they are located.
