Tree Ordinance

The Board of County Commissioners took final action to approve the new tree ordinance on September 23, 2010. The ordinance went into effect on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Read the new ordinance. On April 12, the Planning Commission met to discuss and take action on the proposed tree ordinance. At that time, the Planning Commission voted to recommend that the Board of County Commissioners not adopt the proposed ordinance.

Public testimony will be accepted again at the Board of County Commissioners public hearing scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, in the 4th floor hearing room of the Public Services Building, 2051 Kaen Rd., Oregon City.

Trees Task Force

The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners appointed the 13-member citizen Trees Task Force in September 2008 and completed its work on a draft trees ordinance in August 2009.
