Flu Shots

Thanks to the county’s Wellness Program, you can now find out where to get a flu shot. The flu vaccine they are administering is a preservative-free trivalent that covers 2 strains of type A and 1 strain of type B as well as H1N1. Please register with the person noted for the site, providing a 15 minute block of time you are available.

Who is eligible? All employees. Temps, contract, interns, full-time, part-time, yes that’s you and your immediate family members: children 9–25, your partner, spouse, or significant other.

Sign up is required with the site contact below. Make sure to bring your ID badge. If you have insurance, you must bring your insurance card. If you have no insurance, the Wellness Program is paying.

Make sure you let the sign-up person know your employee/ insurance status and family members accompanying you (e.g. new employee with no insurance yet) so the nurse doesn’t refuse you or your partner for not having insurance, employee ID, or not being registered.

Employees may attend Open Enrollment Open Houses and flu shots on county time, but must make arrangements with their supervisor to attend.
