Where to Walk
Graham Oaks Nature Park, Wilsonville

By Tamra Dickinson

On a blustery winter day, I was seeking a walk that would keep my feet dry, since my shoes needed to walk into a conference after my lunch time stroll.

Graham Oaks is one of Metro’s newest parks, and the paved Tonquin Trail is open to dogs as well, a unique Metro exception because the Tonquin Trail is a regional throughway, which will eventually connect Wilsonville, Tualatin and Sherwood. There are also 3 miles of dirt trails though the park which include young oak woodlands, conifer forests, wetlands, and meadows.
