Where to Walk
McLoughlin School Walking Path

By Dave Sohm, Assessor

There is a newly paved walking path on school district property behind John McLoughlin Elementary on South End Road in Oregon City. This approximately .4 mile circuit includes some elevation change. The path is six feet wide and allows plenty of room for passing other walkers and runners. The park is popular with dog owners who exercise their animals on the field encircled by the path and there is a bag station and receptacle for pet waste. The path can be accessed during non-school hours from the school parking lot as well as over pedestrian paths from Filbert Drive or Hazel Grove Drive. This is a friendly place to walk, although the path is not lit at night.
