Information for new employees of Water Environment Services.

Welcome to Water Environment Services (WES)!

The information on this page is intended to help you maneuver through your first few days as a WES employee. Please take time to explore. This is not a complete accounting of what you’ll need to know or what you’ll be doing; just a start to make your first day(s) easier. At our various locations, we have administrative staff that can assist you once you begin your employment. Feel free to contact any of them, your direct supervisor or manager if you have questions that can’t be answered by the information found here or on the Clackamas County Onboarding website.

2. Your photo will be taken on your first day of work for your employee identification badge.

3. A large number of WES employees are represented by a bargaining unit – the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Local 350-4. A copy of the most recent agreement with Clackamas County can be found here.

 5. What Can You Expect?

Please bring the following documents with you on your first day: Evidence of your identity (as noted on the I-9 Form filled out online) Voided deposit slip in order to enroll in Direct Deposit.

At a minimum, the following should occur within the first couple of months: Tour of work location, including parking, access, facilities, etc.

 Introductions to your work group Familiarization with resources such as: Who to contact – Office Supplies, Technology Services, Emergency Closures How to guides – telephone system, computer, department shared files/printers Completion of final paperwork
