Clackamas County affirms as matters of principle the values of equity, diversity and inclusion in every aspect of County governance, operations and services rendered to County residents and the public at large. The County defines equity in the following manner "Equity is the principled commitment to ensuring the absence of visible and invisible barriers to fairness in representation, opportunity, and access."
Resolution Valuing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (2015)
In July 2012, and reaffirmed in June 2015, Clackamas County by virtue of unanimous vote by the Board of County Commissioners established resolutions valuing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in Clackamas County.
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council (EDIC)
The EDIC promotes the mission of Clackamas County by serving as a resource for inclusivity, diversity, and cultural sensitivity. The EDIC serves the Board of County Commissioners, county departments and employees.
Performance Clackamas Is Clackamas County's new strategic plan and way of ensuring the County meets high performance standards for serving the public and the County's employees.
The purpose of equity, diversity, and inclusion as they relate to Performance Clackamas are to provide equitable access, workforce character, reputation and relationship services to County employees and the public so they can enjoy a welcoming and inclusive place to live, work and do business.
