Construct a sidewalk on the north side, and bicycle lanes both sides of Jennings Avenue from Hwy 99E to Oatfield Road to connect residents to nearby businesses and transportation options and to provide safe routes for students to travel to local schools in the area.
Project planning and design began Oct. 2019. Preparations for an open house to discuss the project’s conceptual layout as preliminary and advanced design efforts continue through spring and summer 2020.
Project design is underway and will be completed in the winter of 2022, with construction planned for summer and fall 2022.
Preliminary design phases have begun to address future right of way activities. Active right of way efforts are planned to begin December 2020. All right of way acquisitions are required to be conducted under state and federal law. Read right of way brochure.
Project impact on traffic
- Spring/summer 2022, construction work is expected between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, and Saturdays as needed. Travelers can expect temporary rolling single-lane closures and detours with flaggers onsite to guide travelers. Pedestrian access will be provided during construction. We will send you a schedule of planned work and detour routes before construction starts.
