The annual Clackamas County Fair & Rodeo runs from Tuesday, Aug. 14 to Saturday, Aug. 18. The event takes place at the Clackamas County Event Center at 694 NE 4th Ave. in Canby.
The five-day event features fun activities for all ages, including:
- Rodeo events (bareback riding, barrel racing, bull riding, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, team roping, and tie-down roping)
- Carnival rides
- Festive food choices
Daily general admission is $9 for adults age 13 and over, with lower costs for senior citizens and youth. Children who are 6 years old or younger are free, as are visitors who are 75 or older. Certain events come with additional admission costs.
Additional discounts are available on certain days for specific groups like children, seniors, veterans, armed service members, police and fire personnel, and more.
On Thursday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m., Clackamas County Commissioners will hold their weekly business meeting on the Main Lawn Stage at the Fair. This provides an opportunity for all residents and stakeholders of the county to address their commissioners directly and see their representatives in action. People who come to see the business meeting when the Fair opens at 10 a.m. that day will be admitted for free.
