There may be some traffic delays on Sunnyside Road between 142nd Street and 117th Street weeknights from Oct. 15 – Nov. 10 as a contractor works on utility poles and underground equipment for Verizon.

The work is scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights.  The contractor is expected to work at one intersection at a time, as follows:

  • 142nd and Sunnyside
  • 132nd and Sunnyside
  • 122nd and Sunnyside
  • 117th and Sunnyside

The road will remain open to all traffic, though there may be minor delays.  Flaggers will direct traffic.

Nearby residents have been informed about the night work, which will include some noise.  Concerns or questions about the project may be directed to the contractor, Henkels & McCoy, at 855-873-5504.
