Media Release: Carver Bridge and Clear Creek Bridge to close April 22-26 for paving; lane restrictions through May 20

In order to pave the roadways leading up to the Carver and Clear Creek bridges, Clackamas County will close S Springwater Road for up to 5 days between Highway 224 and the Springwater Road/Clear Creek Bridge in the Carver area. The road closure is scheduled to begin at midnight, Monday morning, April 22, and continue through no later than 5 p.m., Friday, April 26.

This will be a 24/7 closure to all traffic including emergency vehicles. Please note this is a tentative schedule that could change depending on road and weather conditions.

After paving is complete, lane restrictions will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Monday, May 20 to finish bridge repairs; the road will remain open during construction, but there will be lane closures and delays of up to 20 minutes at a time. Travelers will be assisted by flaggers and are asked to slow down and use caution near the work zone. Alternate routes are encouraged during the work period.
