Media Release: Springwater Road/Clackamas River Bridge to close April 22-26 for paving; lane restrictions through May 20

Main Content

Note: A media release issued on April 9 incorrectly stated Springwater Road/Clear Creek Bridge would be part of the closure. The closure will affect roadways between Hwy 224 and Springwater Road/Clackamas River Bridge.

In order to reconstruct and pave the roadway leading up to the Springwater Rd/Clackamas River Bridge, Clackamas County will close S Springwater Road for up to 5 days between Highway 224 and the Springwater Road/Clackamas River Bridge in the Carver area. The road closure is scheduled to begin at midnight, Monday morning, April 22, and continue through no later than 5 p.m., Friday, April 26.

This will be a 24/7 closure to all traffic including emergency vehicles. Please note this is a tentative schedule that could change depending on road and weather conditions.

After paving is complete, lane restrictions will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Monday, May 20 to finish bridge repairs; the road will remain open during construction, but there will be lane closures and delays of up to 20 minutes at a time. Travelers will be assisted by flaggers and are asked to slow down and use caution near the work zone. Alternate routes are encouraged during the work period.

Project updates will be posted online.
