Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking interested residents to serve on county Advisory Boards and Commissions (ABCs). These ABCs offer residents the opportunity to become very involved in specific activities and the goals of Clackamas County.
Individuals interested in these opportunities can apply online or via a paper form that can be obtained from the Public & Government Affairs Department by calling 503-655-8751 or in person at the Public Services Building at 2051 Kaen Road in Oregon City.

The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners acting as the governing body of the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) is seeking interested volunteers to serve on the NCPRD District Advisory Board (“DAB”). In particular, the Board has directed staff to reform the DAB in order to develop a new composition of representation that would then be implemented.
Members of the board advise Clackamas County Commissioners on the design, planning, development and operation of parks within District boundaries. The board meets the second Wednesday of every month at 5 p.m., and also meets with Board of County Commissioners twice a year.
Residents from the District service area who are dedicated and committed to parks and recreation services are encouraged to apply. Applicants are needed from the unincorporated areas (non-city residents) east and west of I-205 and within District boundaries.

This council has three vacancies each of which carry a tw-year term. The council’s fifteen members advise the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners and the Department of Health, Housing and Human Services on all matters relating to the provision of services to veterans, their families and dependents, ensuring that their needs are recognized and addressed in a timely manner. Veterans Advisory Council also makes recommendations regarding current issues affecting veterans, their families and dependents. Meetings are the 4th Thursday, every other month, starting in February, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
