Clackamas County has received a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
Specifically, the county’s Finance Department received this award for the 2018-19 adopted budget. The award “reflects a commitment … to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting,” meaning that the county has been recognized for an effective budget presentation.
Clackamas County has been honored with this achievement every year since 1993.
“The residents of Clackamas County need to be assured that we are responsible stewards of public funds.” stated Finance Director Christa Bosserman Wolfe. “A transparent budget document is a critical tool for our residents to have the ability to review how funds are being appropriated.”
The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 20,000 government finance professionals.
