Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking interested residents to serve on county Advisory Boards and Commissions (ABCs). These ABCs offer residents the opportunity to become very involved in specific activities and the goals of Clackamas County.
Individuals interested in these opportunities can apply online or via a paper form that can be obtained from the Public & Government Affairs Department by calling 503-655-8751 or in person at the Public Services Building at 2051 Kaen Road in Oregon City.

This commission will have two public member openings, each carrying a two-year term aligned with the fiscal year end (July 1st to June 30th). The seven-member commission Clackamas County Audit Committee (CCAC) provides review and independent oversight of the County’s financial reporting processes, internal controls, and independent auditors.
Members of the Clackamas County Audit Committee must have the ability to attend all meetings and review materials, including audited financial statements and reports of Clackamas County and its eight blended component units of government. The CCAC meets at least twice annually, but the Committee may call additional meetings at its discretion. Applicants from the local community with knowledge of governmental or not-for-profit auditing, accounting, and financial reporting are encouraged to apply.

This committee has an opening for two positions, each of which carries a three-year term. The committee meets quarterly to review and discuss budget-related matters. The committee also holds a series of meetings in May and/or June to review and approve a budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The county operates on a July 1 to June 30 fiscal year. Applicants for the position must be residents of the county. In order to have balance and diversity of membership representation in terms of geographic area, gender and experience, commissioners seek volunteers from all backgrounds and areas of the county.

This council has six openings each of which serve two-year terms. This 15 member council advises the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners and the Department of Health, Housing and Human Services on all matters relating to the provision of services to veterans, their families and dependents, ensuring that their needs are recognized and addressed in a timely manner. Veterans Advisory Council also makes recommendations regarding current issues affecting veterans, their families and dependents. Meetings are the 4th Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
