Clackamas County will resurface approximately 5 miles of roadway on Beavercreek Road from Upper Highland Road to Henrici Road in the Beavercreek area starting Monday, Aug. 12.
While the entire project isn’t expected to be completed until mid-October, the most significant traffic impacts are expected to be between Monday, Aug. 12 and Monday, Sept. 9. (No work will take place on Labor Day weekend starting at 12 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30 through 7 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3.)
Work will take place from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is a possibility of additional weekend or night work depending on weather and other conditions. The road will remain open during construction, but there will be lane closures with delays of up to 20 minutes at a time. Travelers will be assisted by flaggers and pilot cars, and are asked to slow down and use caution near the work zone.
The county and Beavercreek Elementary School encourage using school transportation whenever possible to relieve congestion in the area. Parking on the shoulder of Beavercreek Road will be limited for the duration of the project.
Project updates will be posted at www.bit.ly/roadClosures.
This road maintenance and safety improvement project is a part of the county’s pavement preservation plan for 2019. The project is funded through the county’s share of state gas tax, vehicle registration fees and commercial weight-mile taxes. Information on additional improvement projects can be found at www.clackamas.us/roads/workprogram.html.
