Clackamas County has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
Specifically, the county’s Finance Department received this award for its FY 2017-2018 comprehensive annual financial report. That report relays the financial position and activity of Clackamas County, and is audited by an independent firm of certified public accountants.
The certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Clackamas County has been honored with this achievement every year for the last 26 years.
“The budget is our annual plan for spending taxpayer dollars,” stated Finance Director Christa Bosserman Wolfe. “This report informs our residents as to what was actually spent during the fiscal year and how much variation there was between the original to final budget, as well as the overall financial health of the organization. I am very proud of my department and the other county staff that helped create this annual report.”
The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 20,000 government finance professionals.
