Resurfacing five miles of Clackamas River Drive begins April 22; expect lane closures

Main Content

Clackamas County will resurface approximately 5 miles of roadway on Clackamas River Drive from 13300 Clackamas River Drive to Carver Bridge/S Springwater Road beginning Wednesday, April 22, through Aug. 30.

Work will take place during daylight hours, Monday through Friday. There is a possibility of additional weekend or night work depending on weather and other conditions. Driveway connections will be constructed once the main roadway paving is complete.

The road will remain open during construction, but there will be lane closures with delays of up to 20 minutes at a time. Travelers will be assisted by flaggers and pilot cars, and are asked to slow down and use caution near the work zone.

Clackamas County Transportation is focused on protecting the health of its employees and the public, and also on ensuring that county roads continue to be safe and accessible for those who need to travel. Construction is one segment of the economy permitted during this time because workers are outside and can keep appropriate social distance. Therefore, we are moving forward on projects that will benefit the community, such as this one.
