Clackamas County Parks reopened Madrone Wall Park to the public on July 15 after making a special announcement.
“County Parks is pleased to announce the successful fledging of 3 Peregrine Falcons from the large nest on Madrone Wall,” proudly reported Interim Parks & Forest Manager Tom Riggs. “Therefore, after consulting with our wildlife biologist and a concentrated effort by park staff and volunteers, we were able to reopen to the public at 9 a.m., July 15.”
Due to COVID-19 related staffing limitations, Madrone Wall Park summer hours have been reduced and will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Madrone Wall – located at 19485 SE Highway 224, Damascus, Oregon – is one of the best multi-season rock climbing sites in the Portland metropolitan area. A $6 day use parking fee or annual parking pass is required for use of the parking lot.
