Applications for Rosewood Station, an affordable housing community in Happy Valley, will open Aug. 31, Clackamas County officials announced this week.
This waitlist opening is for the three-bedroom/two-bathroom units.
All applications must be submitted online between when the waitlist opens at 7 a.m. on Aug. 31 and when it closes at 7 a.m. on Sept. 7.
No applications will be accepted through the Clackamas County Housing Authority. For those without internet access, they should call 503-719-7086 and leave the request by voicemail for a paper application. Requests will be logged by time and date. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and selected through a lottery process.
Rosewood Station, located at 8810 SE Otty Road in Happy Valley, will provide 212 new units of affordable housing in partnership with Pedcor Investments of Carmel, Indiana. This project will consist of six four-story, wood-framed structures and will offer (112) one-bed/one-bath, 92 two-bed/two-bath and eight three-bed/two-bath units, which are all affordable to local residents making less than 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). This project will also include 20 Project Based Voucher units for residents at 30 percent of AMI.
Completion date for the project is scheduled for late summer of 2021.
This project redeveloped a 5.29-acre infill lot, which consisted of two buildings, Spain’s Auto Muffler shop and Emerick Construction Offices. Rosewood Station replaces the current structures with approximately $67.1 million of investment, consisting of not only the 212 apartments, but a mixed-use structure will house various management/leasing offices, maintenance work spaces and amenities for residents. Those amenities include:
