New openings on ABC: Pedestrian & Bikeway

Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking interested residents to serve on county Advisory Boards and Commissions (ABCs). These ABCs offer residents the opportunity to become very involved in specific activities and the goals of Clackamas County. 

Individuals interested in this opportunity can apply online or via a paper form that can be obtained from the Public & Government Affairs Department by calling 503-655-8751 or in person at the Public Services Building at 2051 Kaen Road in Oregon City.

New ABC openings from the past week include: 

Pedestrian and Bikeway Advisory Committee

Clackamas County is seeking seven volunteers to serve a four-year term on the Pedestrian and Bikeway Advisory Committee.  The Committee advises the County on policies, programs, projects and ordinances that affect pedestrian and bicycle transportation and recreation in Clackamas County.  

The Committee's mission is to promote and encourage safe bicycling and walking as a significant means of transportation in Clackamas County. Committee goals include: 

  • Developing a coordinated system of safe and convenient bikeways and walkways, 
  • Serving as a forum for bicycle and pedestrian related issues, and 
  • Increasing public awareness of bicycle and pedestrian issues. 

The Committee currently meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. via the Zoom platform. Future in person meetings will be held at the County’s Development Services Building (150 Beavercreek Road) in Oregon City.
