Outdoor event will ceremonially swear-in Chair Smith, Commissioners Schrader and Shull

Next Wednesday, Jan. 13, an outdoor ceremonial swearing-in will be held for new Clackamas County Chair Tootie Smith, re-elected Commissioner Martha Schrader, and new Commissioner Mark Shull.

The event will be held at 3:30 p.m. on the Circle of Honor in-between the county’s Public Services Building (PSB) and Development Services Building (DSB). The PSB is located at 2051 Kaen Road in Oregon City.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance within the Circle of Honor will be extremely limited. A video of the event will be made available to the public in the days following on the county's numerous communication channels. Members of the public are encouraged to watch the event either through Facebook Live, or the county's video, which will be released in the days after.

Any member of the public who does attend should prepare for the elements and expect to be unsheltered at the event. Please check the weather in the days leading up to the ceremony.

All commissioners have already been officially sworn in, allowing them to start work this week. This event is ceremonial.
