The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners is seeking interested residents to serve on county Advisory Boards and Commissions (ABCs). ABCs offer residents the opportunity to become involved in specific activities and the goals of Clackamas County.

This week there are new openings on one advisory committee, as follows.

North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District Advisory Committee: The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners, acting as the governing body of the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD), is seeking interested volunteers to serve on the NCPRD District Advisory Committee (DAC).

The purpose of the DAC is to advise the NCPRD Board of Directors on the acquisition, design, planning and development of District parks and facilities, programs, maintenance and operations; to meet with the Board of Directors once yearly; and to review and provide input prior to the publication of the NCPRD annual report.

NCPRD residents who are committed to parks and recreation services are encouraged to apply to represent their sub-area of the NCPRD on the DAC. There are eight positions to be filled at this time from unincorporated areas east and west of I-205 that are within NCPRD boundaries.
