Our Supportive Housing Services (SHS) program launched a host of new services in October and November through the execution of five contracts with community based organizations and the launch of its Regional Long-term Rent Assistance (RLRA) Program. Contracted services began navigating households into permanent housing (102 households) and providing supportive housing case management services (205 households). These new services, coupled with rental assistance provided through RLRA, will place 200 households into permanent supportive housing in FY 2021-22.

Permanent supportive housing units are created through a combination of permanent housing, supportive case management providing wraparound services to households, and rental assistance. A key component of the regional SHS initiative, these units provide stable housing and the necessary services for our most vulnerable neighbors to be secure and succeed in their personal goals. The SHS program seeks to add 1,065 permanent supportive housing total units in Clackamas County – at least 200 of those in this current fiscal year.
