2022 Primary Election

The Oregon Primary Election is May 17

The deadline to register to vote in the May 17 primary election is April 26. You can register to vote and verify your party affiliation at or by turning in a registration form to Clackamas County Elections 1710 Red Soils Court, Suite 100 Oregon City, OR 97045. Forms are available at any County Elections office, post office, library or DMV location. Please note that mailed registrations must be postmarked 21 days before Election Day.
You must register as a Democrat or Republican to be eligible to vote for that party’s nominees for partisan offices that will be elected during the November general election. If you are registered with a minor party or not affiliated with any political party, you will be eligible to vote only on nonpartisan offices and measures. Late party changes may result in a new, reissued ballot. The first ballot is automatically inactivated any time we reissue or send replacement ballots.
Ballots are mailed 14 to 20 days prior to Election Day and must be postmarked by Election Day or received by 8 p.m. in Official Drop Site/Elections office.
